I’ve been a member of the Heath and Science Communications Association (HeSCA) for about five years. They are a great bunch of people and they have seen fit to elect me to the Board of Directors. Hope they know what they are doing.
I’ve also been asked to head up their efforts in the social media space. We already had a Facebook page. We need to decide if our Linkedin group is going to be restricted to members or open to anyone who is interested. Next up is a Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. Maybe throw in a little FriendFeed just for the fun of it.
I know it’s a little late for this sort of thing, but 2007 was so busy that January was sort of an additional month tacked on to tie up the loose ends.
The main reason it was so busy was the three major FDA Advisory Committee Meeting presentations. This isn’t the first time we’ve done this many in a calendar year, but they were timed so it almost seemed like I was in “ACM mode” all 12 months.
Unfortunately, the timing of those meetings also meant missing InfoComm again. I absolutely have to get there this year since I need to earn some CTS renewal credits by the end of October. Unfortunately, it’s in Las Vegas again.
In any event, I’m hoping to get to more energy on the InfoComm Presentations Council in 2008 and I’m guessing I’m going to be more active in HeSCA again.
Here’s hoping we all have a great 2008!
